BuddyWoking & District

Buddy was a man about town who has been down on his luck in recent years and lived on the wild side of life! He has now decided that he loves home comforts and a quiet lifestyle and is therefore looking for a special family to settle down with.

He is a gentle, affectionate man who enjoys company - he greets me with a gentle chirrup, adores a fuss and being groomed. If ignored he will stand on his back legs and head butt you until you give him lots of strokes and attention. His favourite past time is snuggling up on your lap whilst you gently chat to him and stroke him - he enjoys a bit of gossip. He does however know his own mind and will let you know when he has had enough attention, but that does not mean he will vacate your lap! If you are looking for a lap cat who is happy to have a gossip whilst watching telly or listening to the radio then Buddy is your man!

Buddy is a special cat seeking a very special forever home with a special adopter. Buddy has been confirmed as FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) so he needs a home where he can be the only cat. Feline FIV is not contagious to people or other species of animals.

Buddy has been used to living in the great outdoors for a couple of years - we suspect he was previously owned but then abandoned! His ideal home will either offer him access to a cat proof enclosed garden or safe outdoor run (so that he cannot come into contact and potentially infect other cats.) If there is no safe outdoor space that he can access he will require a secure indoor only home offering a safe and spacious environment in which plenty of stimulation is provided.

If you would like to learn more about FIV and what it means for a cat and it's owner there is a Cats Protection Guide available to be downloaded from the Veterinary Guides section of the CP website
